BRIDGE JUMPING: We've received lots of complaints about groups of kids jumping off the bridge. Remember that the dock below the bridge is private property. The Guilford Police will be called and will respond to complaints about noise and trespassing. We're all concerned about safety.
KELP FARM: As many of you have heard, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Department of Agriculture have received a proposal for a 5 acre seasonal commercial sugar kelp farm between Leete's Island and Sachem's Head. The Sachem's Head Harbor Management Commission (SHHMC) supports new and expanded uses for natural resources in the Sachem's Head area, but has requested improved siting and additional assurances aimed at minimizing the proposed farm's impact on commercial and recreational boating. We will support the SHHMC and monitor the application process.
