IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Town of Guilford is making an application for a Coastal Area Management permit with the Guilford Planning and Zoning Commission for repairs to the Falcon Road seawall. A public hearing will be held at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center, 2nd floor Menunkatuck Room, 32 Church Street on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 7:30 pm. The application may be reviewed at the offices of Planning and Zoning at 50 Boston Street.

As you know, Falcon Road and the seawall were badly damaged--again-- in the storm on January 24. Falcon Road will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians until the Town can repair the road and the seawall in the Spring.
We've asked the Director of Public Works to move the barriers down Falcon Road to allow for access to the parking lot and paddle tennis court. However, we will not do any major clean-up in the parking lot until the winter storm season is over. Once the barriers have been moved, anyone who walks or parks or turns around in the lot will need to be extra careful of the rocks and sand and uneven road surface.
Please avoid Falcon Road whenever possible so you won't need to turn around on Walden Hill (a private road) or in Walden Hill neighbors' driveways.
