Update on Pedestrian Bridge Closure
After an inspection last month, the Town of Guilford closed the pedestrian bridge that links Colonial Road and Prospect Avenue/Chimney Corner Circle. The damage to supporting structures on the underside of the bridge is significant, leading the Town Engineer with no choice but to close the bridge for the safety. The Town Engineer is waiting for a report from a structural engineer on whether to repair or replace the bridge. We will work with the Town and let you know just as soon as we hear about what to expect for this very important link between SHA neighbors.
Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts
In response to comments from neighbors, we have decided to leave the courts unlocked this winter for pickle ball and tennis (till the nets come down at the end of October) players only.
Proposed Revision of SHA Zoning Ordinance
The proposed revisions are undergoing final review. The Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing in November to gather additional comments and suggestions.
